Anthropic launched Claude Duet, its new AI agent for professionals and small business owners, as a research preview on 21 October 2026.
It is built on Claude Opus 5.5, sends a morning brief across connected apps, and messages users only when something needs attention.
Before big steps such as sending a payment or deleting something, it asks for approval.
Anthropic calls it an early version and says it is weaker at personal errands such as booking tickets.
The waitlist is open to Pro or Max subscribers in the US.
