Apple Watch Series 12 AI audio suite opens developer beta
Apple’s opt-in Live Rewind and Siri Recaps tools for Series 12 and Ultra 4 watches are in the developer beta that began rolling out on 2 November, with privacy cues and on-device audio handling.
Apple Watch Audio Intelligence features entered developer beta testing on 2 November with the iOS/watchOS 27.3 update.
Live Rewind turns the last 15 seconds of conversation into text via a Digital Crown double-press; unsaved snippets vanish after 30 seconds.
Siri Recaps summarise talks into titles and bullet points without speaker IDs or full transcripts; unsaved notes clear within seven days.
The suite also covers sound recognition and Shazam song ID, and needs the S11 chip on Series 12 or Ultra 4.
Apple says raw audio stays in protected hardware; a public beta is planned before a wider consumer release.
