Apple Watch Audio Intelligence features are now in developer beta testing, after the company began rolling out the iOS and watchOS 27.3 update on 2 November. The opt-in suite, first shown at Apple’s Surprise and Shine hardware event in September, brings AI tools to Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models with the S11 chip so wearers can catch missed lines of talk, keep light conversation notes, spot important sounds, and name nearby songs.
Live Rewind and Siri Recaps
Live Rewind is the catch-up tool. A double-press of the Digital Crown shows the previous 15 seconds of an in-person conversation as a text snippet on the watch. Wearers can ignore it—Apple says the snippet then deletes permanently after 30 seconds—or save it in the Siri app, or tap Ask Siri to query a term or detail they just heard. When Live Rewind runs, the watch plays a chime and shows an on-screen animation so people nearby can see that something was just captured.
Siri Recaps (also called Siri Recap) goes further with ambient listening. After a conversation, Apple Intelligence can build a short title and bullet points—dates, deadlines, pricing, and similar facts—inside the Siri app. Apple says it does not identify individual speakers, does not keep raw audio for this purpose, and does not produce word-for-word transcripts. Recaps are meant for meetings, parent-teacher talks, training sessions, and other moments when jotting notes by hand is hard. The feature does not record while the wearer is listening to music on headphones or using noise cancellation. At day’s end, users are prompted to review saved recaps; anything not kept deletes within seven days. Saved material can go to Notes or Journal.
Sound tools and privacy claims
Beyond talk, the same suite includes sound recognition aimed at deaf and hard-of-hearing users, flagging sounds such as sirens, alarms, or doorbells, and a Shazam-based tool that names songs playing nearby. Both need the S11 chip on Series 12 or Ultra 4.
Apple has published an Audio Intelligence privacy overview describing always-on listening limits. It says raw audio is handled in dedicated hardware, is not saved as a file, and is not reachable by the operating system, apps, or Apple. One account of the pipeline says audio is processed in a hardware-protected space on the watch, the paired iPhone turns it into condensed text locally, and only that condensed text may reach Apple’s Private Cloud Compute for summarising before interim cloud data is deleted. Apple also says that if iCloud is used with two-factor authentication and a device passcode, saved Recap summaries or Live Rewind snippets sync across devices end-to-end encrypted in the Siri app.

Aasan alfaaz mein
Apple Watch par naye Audio Intelligence features developer beta mein aa gaye hain. Live Rewind se aap Digital Crown do dafa daba kar pichhle 15 second ki baat text mein dekh sakte hain. Siri Recaps baat cheet ka short summary bana sakta hai, bina poori recording ke. Yeh abhi developers ke liye hai; aam users ke liye public beta aur baad mein full release aayegi.
