Bajaur seminary teacher held over student's fatal beating
Police say a madressah teacher who fled after allegedly beating 12-year-old Arshad to death in Utmankhel was arrested in a raid and booked under Section 302.
Police arrested a seminary teacher in Bajaur for allegedly beating a student to death inside a madressah in Qazafi Bandagi, Utmankhel.
The deceased was identified as 12-year-old Arshad of Mandal in Salarzai tehsil; his body was found inside the mosque/seminary.
The suspect had fled after the alleged assault and was caught in a raid ordered by the Malakand RPO.
An FIR was registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
