China says Karakoram-2026 drills with Pakistan are set for later this month
China’s defence ministry said on 10 October that the two armies will hold Karakoram-2026 joint training in Korla, Xinjiang, in mid-to-late October, focused on high-altitude counterterrorism.
Senior Colonel Chen Xi said the training will be held in Korla in mid-to-late October.
The ministry said the drills cover high-altitude counterterrorism, including drones, moving-target firing, sniping, joint command and live-force exercises.
China said this is the first joint army training between the two countries.
