Liu Haixing in Islamabad for three-day official visit
Liu Haixing of the Communist Party of China's International Department landed in Islamabad on Sunday for leadership meetings and a joint high-level event with Ishaq Dar on Monday.
Liu Haixing, minister of the CPC International Department (IDCPC), arrived in Islamabad for a three-day official visit.
The visit is at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and is described as his first official trip to Pakistan.
He was received by Senator Anusha Rahman Khan and Dr Mohammad Faisal, Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific) at the Foreign Ministry.
He is due to call on Pakistan’s leadership and co-chair a high-level event with Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on 2 November 2026.
The Foreign Office links the trip to ongoing high-level and party-to-party exchanges under the two countries’ All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
