Karachi CTD says it arrested Fazal Haq and recovered a grenade
Dawn says Karachi’s Counter-Terrorism Department claimed on Sunday that it arrested Fazal Haq of the Baloch Republican Guards and recovered a grenade.
A CTD spokesperson told Dawn the suspect was arrested in a joint raid with an intelligence agency in Karachi on Sunday.
Dawn identified him as Fazal Haq and said the CTD described him as a member of the Baloch Republican Guards, which the spokesperson called Fitna al-Hindustan.
The spokesperson said a grenade was recovered, and claimed Fazal Haq had trained in a neighbouring country and planned to target installations and law enforcers.
The CTD said it was still looking for accomplices, facilitators and financers. Dawn reported the claim. It did not publish a court charge sheet.
