Some 1,607 applications were received from four districts; tehsil committees verified 604 as eligible so far.
Final scrutiny will be done through the Punjab Information Technology Board before selection.
Earlier phases arranged weddings for 3,000 girls; the province aims for 5,000 in upcoming phases.
