Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari among two Pakistanis named ISC Fellows

The International Science Council named the FUUAST vice chancellor on 16 October among only two Pakistani scientists chosen as Fellows.

Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, FUUAST vice chancellor, has been elected a Fellow of the International Science Council.

The ISC announced the election on 16 October.

Only two Pakistani scientists were named Fellows in that announcement, including Professor Zulfiqar Bhutta.

He is a biological scientist and has received a UNESCO award, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

The ISC promotes research, international scientific cooperation and the use of science in policy.
