DRAP drug registration cut to 21 days under digital push
Health Minister Mustafa Kamal told Karachi industrialists that DRAP’s digital shift has processed over 5,000 cases in eight months, while medicine pricing remains before the federal cabinet.
Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said DRAP has been fully digitalised and made transparent.
Over 86,000 medicines are on the track and trace system for phone-based authenticity and price checks.
Online registration that once took years is now completed in 21 days; over 5,000 certification cases processed in eight months.
Medicine price rises sought by industry are before the federal cabinet; Kamal floated ending direct price controls.
KATI’s Sheikh Umer Rehan backed DRAP digitalisation and urged monthly federal minister visits to Karachi.
