Easypaisa Aggregator Accounts: ~30 Staff Reportedly Cut

Internal sources say about 30 exits followed alleged misuse of easypaisa aggregator accounts in a federal wallet probe; the bank denies any mass firing.

Internal sources say easypaisa Digital Bank ended about 30 jobs over perceived irregularities in aggregator accounts.

The exits are reported amid a federal probe of Pakistan’s mobile wallet sector after an FIA FIR on 24 September 2026 into a Rs119.93 billion online gambling network.

Aggregator accounts handle merchant payments at scale; some were allegedly used for illicit flows, with about Rs8.586 billion traced through five branchless collection accounts.

easypaisa categorically denies terminating 30 staff, saying any exits were routine policy cases or employee-led moves.

JazzCash has closed over 300 aggregator accounts after FIA notices and is running an internal inquiry, without reported staff firings so far.
