Bessemer leads Fal’s $1.3B round as AI demand soars
The San Francisco AI inference firm’s Series F, closed in October, comes after an April Sequoia-led round and a summer capacity crunch that forced customer limits.
Fal raised $1.3 billion in a Series F led by Bessemer Venture Partners, valuing the company at $16 billion.
The round doubles the $8 billion valuation from an April Sequoia-led raise; Series E and F total $1.65 billion combined.
Fal hosts and runs image, video and audio AI models and hit about $800 million in annualized revenue earlier this year.
CEO Burkay Gur said summer demand forced the firm to rate-limit customers when servers ran out.
Nvidia, T. Rowe Price, Sound Ventures and HOF Capital also joined; funding will buy more compute and grow the 185-person team.
