Fatah-2 missile test: Army fires extended-range version
ISPR said Tuesday's Fatah-2 missile test used advanced navigation and avionics, with a path designed to strike deep targets and evade missile defences.
ISPR said on Tuesday that the Pakistan Army successfully test-launched the Fatah-2 extended-range hypersonic ballistic missile.
The missile has advanced navigation and avionics, and a flight path the military says is meant to beat missile defences.
ISPR said the longer range will help the Army strike targets farther away. No kilometre figure or speed was given.
Army Rocket Force Command chief Lt Gen Nauman Zakaria watched the launch with senior officers, scientists and engineers, Dawn reported.
The president, prime minister, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, and the services chiefs congratulated the development team.
