Landi Kotal, Bara, Jamrud shut five unsafe private schools
Teams in Landi Kotal, Bara and Jamrud sealed the sites after finding bamboo roofs and crumbling walls, following a Peshawar school roof collapse that killed 31.
Authorities sealed five private schools in Khyber on Friday after finding buildings in extremely poor condition.
Inspections covered Landi Kotal, Bara and Jamrud under orders from Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali.
The checks followed a Thursday roof collapse at a private school in Peshawar that killed 30 students and a teacher.
Some sealed schools had bamboo roofs and crumbling walls that officials said put students and teachers at risk.
Further visits are planned, including of public-sector schools.
