Gemini new features let you edit files inside the app
Google is rolling out Gemini new features that let people preview and revise generated documents, PDFs and more in chat, with PDF tools on mobile and wider format support on the web.
Google has added tools to preview and edit Gemini-generated files inside the chat, without downloading or exporting first.
Supported types include documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, code and other formats.
PDF preview and editing work on web and mobile; Google Docs, Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT and code are web-only for now.
Users can open files full screen, highlight text to ask questions, and request changes to text or visuals.
Google says the tools are rolling out to all Gemini users starting today, in every language the app supports.
