German envoy: more student visas for Pakistani applicants
Ambassador Ina Lepel said demand for study places is rising, delays can follow, and the mission is trying to speed up processing while also urging deeper trade ties.
Germany has increased student visas issued to Pakistani applicants, Ambassador Dr Ina Lepel said on Monday.
She linked the move to growing demand for higher education in Germany and said rising applications can delay processing.
The German mission is working to simplify procedures and improve efficiency, she told journalists at the National Press Club.
Lepel urged stronger Pakistan–Germany trade and investment, saying bilateral trade volume has not improved much since 2017.
She praised Pakistan’s diplomacy during the recent United States–Iran standoff.
