HBL Microfinance Bank Opens First Islamic Branch in Timergara
HBL Microfinance Bank Islamic banking has begun with the bank’s first Shariah-compliant branch in Timergara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after a State Bank of Pakistan licence.
HBL Microfinance Bank has opened its first Islamic banking branch in Timergara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The move follows an Islamic banking licence from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s central bank.
Services are aimed at individuals, micro-entrepreneurs, farmers and communities seeking Shariah-compliant finance.
President and CEO Amir Khan called the Timergara launch a milestone for wider financial inclusion.
The bank, established in 2002, says it plans to expand Islamic banking further across Pakistan.
