HESCO exempts two more Sindh feeders from load shedding

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company added the Chak 190 and Dr Noor Muhammad 11kV feeders, saying 77 lines are now exempt from scheduled outages.

HESCO has exempted the 11 KV Chak 190 feeder in Mirpurkhas and the 11 KV Dr Noor Muhammad feeder in Hyderabad from scheduled power cuts.

Spokesman Sadiq Kubar said 77 feeders in HESCO’s area are now exempt.

Chief executive Faizullah Dahiri tied the Chak 190 decision to three consumer assurances, including line losses not crossing 20 percent.

Chak 190 serves 2,969 domestic consumers through 153 transformers; Dr Noor Muhammad has 774 consumers and 22 transformers.

Dahiri’s stated aim is to free 70 percent of HESCO feeders from scheduled outages by curbing theft and line losses.
