Power Division says industrial power tariff fell Rs18.94 since March 2024

The Power Division says the Rs25.30 figure cited in reports is a revised marginal rate for extra consumption under a relief package, with new rates from November 2026.

The Power Division says the average industrial electricity tariff fell by about Rs18.94 per unit, including taxes, compared with March 2024.

The Rs25.30 per unit figure is a revised marginal rate under the Incremental Consumption Package, not the regular industrial tariff.

The average industrial rate was Rs34.40 per kilowatt-hour in October 2026, excluding taxes.

Revised package rates take effect in November 2026 after a determination by NEPRA, the power regulator.

209,335 of 518,316 eligible consumers, about 40 percent, have benefited from the package so far.
