ICT Police get mandatory weekly off under new leave policy
Officers at each rank now have set limits on the leave they can approve, and pilgrimage, marriage and exam leave are spelled out in one policy for the capital.
Leave Policy 2026 makes one weekly rest day mandatory for all ICT Police officers and personnel.
Station house officers can approve up to three days of casual leave for constables and head constables.
Hajj leave is 45 days and Umrah or other pilgrimages get 21 days.
Men get 10 days of marriage leave and women get one month.
Staff posted away from home get seven days' leave after 45 days of duty and 14 days after 90 days.
