Karachi building collapse kills one, injures six at Qalandria

A Karachi building collapse near the New Nazimabad Flyover trapped people under debris, rescue officials said, and the injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

One man, identified as Abdul Bari, died after a two-storey structure's roof gave way in Qalandria Chowk.

Six injured people were pulled from the rubble and taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Rescue officials said the roof fell during construction work at a sweet shop.

The cause of the roof failure has not been established so far.

Separately, last month, three children died when a Union Council office wall fell on a rickshaw in Malir.
