Karachi police raid PPP MNA Aijaz Jakhrani's brother

South District Police left a DHA Phase VI house after staff resisted entry, and officials could not say why the raid was ordered.

South District Police raided Azad Khan Jakhrani’s house on Khayaban-e-Rahat in DHA Phase VI, Karachi, on Wednesday and later left.

Accounts describe a heated exchange with security staff, and video shows Mumtaz Jakhrani trying to stop officers from entering.

The family says PPP MNA Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani was behind the raid in a property dispute; he denies knowing about it.

Police could not explain why the house was targeted and said obstruction of official duty would bring legal action.

No arrest is described. Aijaz Jakhrani called Azad and Khalid half-brothers, said he had cut ties, and accused Azad of drug-related activity.
