Karachi University seeks AI and cybersecurity centre with China
The Karachi University AI centre is proposed alongside a Pakistan-China museum and a Hall of Fame, with a Vice Chancellor visit to China planned for November.
KU has proposed a Pakistan-China centre focused on AI and cybersecurity, and a Pakistan-China museum on campus.
The ideas were raised at a meeting between Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Wasim Qazi and China's acting consul general Feng Deheng.
The museum would hold historical records, academic material, documents and cultural objects from both countries.
A Hall of Fame is also proposed to honour people who have contributed to education and scholarship.
Dr Qazi plans to visit China in November to explore agreements with Chinese universities.
