Khairpur police arrest Abdul Karim, accused of selling his daughter
Khairpur police arrested Abdul Karim, accused of selling his 12-year-old daughter for Rs300,000 and arranging her marriage, ARY News reported on Monday, quoting police.
ARY News, quoting police, said the arrest was in Chhoti Mari village in Khairpur.
Police said the senior superintendent ordered the arrest of the girl’s father, Abdul Karim.
A case is registered at Tando Masti police station over the alleged sale and an arranged marriage.
Police said the girl would be produced before a court on Monday. ARY did not name a buyer.
