KP Food Authority seals illegal units in Mardan, Takht Bhai
Teams in Mardan, Takht Bhai, Peshawar and other districts destroyed adulterated meat, milk and spices, as the Director General vowed continued enforcement.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority intensified a province-wide drive on Sunday against unsafe food.
In Mardan and Takht Bhai, teams sealed illegal units and discarded 400 kg of minced meat, 1,000 kg of dried onions and 500 litres of milk.
A Peshawar Ring Road raid found 1,550 kg of insect-infested dried onions treated with hydrogen peroxide.
Operations in Mansehra, Swat, Nowshera and nearby areas hit checkpoints, restaurants and snack factories, with heavy fines and further disposals.
The Director General said zero-tolerance enforcement will continue to protect public health.
