KP wheat quota up to 4,000 tonnes after Azakhel flood risk

The extra 1,000 tonnes will come from Azakhel reserve warehouses after flood damage, with larger shares for Peshawar, Mardan and other districts.

KP Food Department raised the daily wheat release quota from 3,000 to 4,000 metric tonnes.

The extra 1,000 tonnes will go to operational flour mills from National Reserve Centre warehouses in Azakhel.

Peshawar gets 116 extra tonnes daily; other districts receive smaller shares linked to population.
