Lahore Basant 2027 date revised to March 12-14 by DC
The Lahore deputy commissioner has floated March 12-14 for the festival, with kite flying allowed under rules still needing Punjab Cabinet approval before dates are final.
The Lahore deputy commissioner’s office has revised the proposed Lahore Basant 2027 date window to March 12-14.
Kite flying would be allowed during the three-day festival, with the proposal limiting it to Lahore district outside prohibited areas and to permitted materials.
The Punjab Cabinet must still approve the schedule; final dates are not confirmed.
DC office sources say kite and string manufacture may continue until March 14, 2027, with purchase and storage from February 1 and public sales from February 10.
