Five Lahore flights to Saudi Arabia and UAE cancelled
Lahore flights cancelled today include services to Riyadh, Dammam and Ras Al Khaimah; airport sources say reasons are not officially confirmed.
Airport sources said five departures from Lahore to Riyadh, Dammam and Ras Al Khaimah were cancelled on Tuesday.
The flights named were XY318, SV743 and RX676 to Riyadh, PK725 to Dammam, and a Ras Al Khaimah service listed as G9 855 or G9855.
The reasons have not been officially confirmed. One account linked the disruption to Houthi attacks on Saudi airports and to tensions involving Saudi Arabia and Gulf states.
Reports say at least 34 Pakistan flights to Riyadh were cancelled the previous day after King Khalid International Airport’s closure was extended by 24 hours.
Passengers were advised to confirm the latest status with their airline before leaving for the airport.
