Irfan arrested in Kahna over alleged killing of Azra Bibi

In the Lahore murder case, Kahna police arrested Irfan after Azra Bibi was allegedly shot at home for refusing to drop a child maintenance petition.

Kahna police arrested Irfan on Wednesday, 14 October, and named him in the murder of his mother, Azra Bibi.

Police say she was killed at home after she refused to withdraw a maintenance petition against her former husband.

Investigators say the former husband, the son and other accomplices used severe violence and opened fire inside the house.

Raids were still under way for the remaining suspects, who had not been arrested.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said the inquiry would be handled on merit.
