LHC orders jail staff to give Uzma Khan heart medicines
The Lahore High Court told jail staff to give Imran Khan's sister Uzma Khan her prescribed heart medicines each day, while reserving a decision on summoning officials.
The Lahore High Court ordered jail authorities to provide Dr Uzma Khan with her heart medication.
Her husband, Ahad Khan, told the court she has a heart condition and needs three medicines daily.
Justice Abher Gul Khan reserved a decision on summoning the Lahore deputy commissioner, the CCPO and other officials.
Lawyer Rana Mudassar Umar said the detainees sought basic necessities, not special jail privileges.
He also asked that Noreen Niazi be given clothes, medicines, prescription glasses and meetings with her family and lawyer.
