Pakistan firms partner with China on lithium battery assembly
Lithium battery assembly in Pakistan is the aim of a deal QTECH signed with Guangzhou Great Power, covering home, industrial and data centre energy storage systems.
Quantum Data Technologies Limited (QTECH) signed a cooperation agreement with China's Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co.
The plan is to introduce and then progressively carry out local assembly of lithium-based battery energy storage systems.
Target uses include homes, businesses, industry, utility-scale projects, data centres, AI infrastructure and EV battery infrastructure.
QTECH disclosed the deal to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 14, 2026; no start date, price or deal value has been given.
Kohinoor Energy signed a non-binding MoU with China's Hebei Juhang Energy Technology Group earlier in October.
