Meezan Bank moves 7.5 million cards onto a new payments platform

The bank said its card, merchant and digital payment operations now run on BPC SmartVista, and that operations continued through the switch.

Meezan Bank has moved its entire payments business to BPC's SmartVista platform.

The move covers 7.5 million active cards and all of the bank's merchants.

The platform handles POS, e-commerce, QR, payment gateway, instant payment and fraud management services.

The bank says the platform can process more than 1,500 transactions per second at peak periods.

The sources do not describe any action cardholders must take, or any change in fees or limits.
