Meta AI Muse app outpaces ChatGPT on US downloads in 40 days

The Meta AI Muse app has 10.9 million downloads since its September debut, and Sensor Tower data show its 7-day retention beats rival AI chatbot apps.

Muse had 10.9 million downloads since its September debut, 10.2 million of them in the US, per Sensor Tower.

Only 11 other apps have reached 10 million US downloads within 40 days of launch; Threads was the most recent, in July 2023.

Muse kept 30% of US users after 7 days and 23% after 14 days, against rival averages of 19% and 16%.

ChatGPT had 3.7 million US downloads in its first 40 days; Grok and Claude had 500,000 and 200,000.

Muse is available only in the US and Canada for now.
