Mir Raza murder case: DIG cites irregularities in early probe

The commission's registrar said work on the report is continuing, while the lead investigator defended the probe and said the conduct of police personnel is under review.

The judicial commission probing the Mir Raza murder case is likely to submit its final report to the Sindh government by October 15, its registrar said.

DIG Amir Farooqi, who heads the investigation team, told the commission the earlier probe had no shortcomings that affected it, but admitted early irregularities at the scene.

Details of crypto trades and accounts came from the NCCIA, but further information is still awaited from the NCCIA and the State Bank of Pakistan.

Investigators are examining the conduct of police personnel, and Farooqi said strict action will follow any violation of the law.

Headlines differed on timing, and no official has confirmed that the report has been submitted.
