Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry tells the Senate that regional boards review NADRA blocked CNICs, with over 138,000 cases in Balochistan.
Regional boards inspect blocked identity cards, with unresolved cases sent to NADRA headquarters.
A total of 138,166 CNICs are currently blocked in Balochistan, including 8,875 in Makran and Rakhshan divisions.
Cards are blocked for ineligibility, foreign nationals using forged documents, or wrong additions to family trees.
The government assured lawmakers that reviews are conducted on merit without targeting any specific region or tribe.
