Netflix rolls out AI Discover tab with mood-based recommendations

Netflix is rolling out an AI Discover tab as a place to try new ways to find something to watch.

The first experiment offers curated mood themes such as “something light,” “scare me,” “family movie night,” and “quick watches.”

After a theme is chosen, matching titles appear; users can refine themes, pick “something different,” or use Tune Your Recommendations.

Netflix says the tab is powered by a new intelligence layer that responds in real time and keeps learning.

The rollout has started in the United States for members who use Netflix in English on supported TVs, with more users planned in the coming weeks.
