Omen AI acquires Aquatic Labs to cut cooling downtime

Omen AI is acquiring Aquatic Labs in a $16 million cash-and-stock deal after raising a $31 million Series A in June.

Both firms build real-time cooling-water sensors: Omen tracks elements in the fluid; Aquatic Labs measures alkalinity.

Allan Adams will serve as chief science officer; the combined sensor is expected on the market by early next year.

Omen aims to monitor chips drawing 250–300 MW by year-end and the equivalent of 1 GW by the end of 2027.

Faster monitoring is meant to cut wasteful water dumps and costly downtime when cooling systems drift out of range.
