Pakistan Army Deployment in KP Approved Under Article 245
The federal government has authorised Pakistan Army deployment in KP under Article 245 to assist civil authorities and protect citizens and installations.
The federal government issued an official notification invoking Article 245 to deploy armed forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Troops are tasked with assisting the civil administration to maintain public order and protect citizens and state installations.
The deployment coincides with the emergency and Governor's Rule declared under Articles 232 and 234.
The KP Governor will determine troop numbers and operational resources in direct consultation with GHQ's Military Operations Directorate.
