Commerce Ministry backs $150m tyre export push for FY27
Overseas sales are meant to rise from $116 million last fiscal year, with Commerce Ministry backing on market access and Service Long March set to lead shipments.
The Pakistan tyre industry is targeting $150 million in exports in FY2026-27, up from $116 million in FY2025-26 and $35 million in FY2021-22.
That FY27 goal is about 29% higher than the previous fiscal year.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan chaired a meeting on market access for tyre sales to Türkiye under the bilateral Preferential Trade Agreement.
Service Long March (SLM) earned $67 million from exports in FY2025-26 (about 58% of the sector) and aims for $100 million in FY2026-27.
Armstrong began passenger-car radial exports in August 2026, including to the United States; SLM plans PCR exports in 2028.
