Containers block main roads in Peshawar, Dawn reports
Dawn’s Manzoor Ali reported Sunday’s shutdown in Peshawar: no mobile signal, BRT stations closed, and containers on GT Road, Khyber Road and University Road.
Dawn reported that Peshawar had no mobile signal on Sunday morning, the day after emergency and governor’s rule were imposed.
GT Road was closed with containers at Firdous Chowk. Police let only pedestrians through.
Containers also blocked the road to Khyber Road, University Road at Tehkal, Stadium Chowk and Arbab Road.
BRT stations stayed shut, and the internet stopped working in the afternoon.
