1,531 appear in Punjab PGET 2026 residency test at RMU
The first PGET 2026 sitting was held on Sunday at Rawalpindi Medical University for Level-III residency seats, jointly run by UHS and RMU.
1,531 candidates appeared in the first Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2026 at Rawalpindi Medical University on Sunday.
The Punjab government organised the test for Level-III postgraduate medical residency training places.
University of Health Sciences, Lahore, and RMU conducted the exam jointly at RMU’s Tipu Road Campus.
Officials said the sitting ran smoothly, with no irregularities reported and a Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department monitor present.
Rawalpindi district teams, including Rescue 1122 and hospital support, helped manage the large turnout.
