Police defused a 20-kilogramme improvised explosive device near Wanda Shuja on Mianwali Road on Saturday.
Officials said suspected terrorists planted the IED to target law-enforcement personnel; a search followed.
Darra Pezu traders were given until 28 October to clear highway and bazaar encroachments or face action.
The food department began a crackdown in Serai Naurang over alleged price hikes and hoarding.
