Punjab Transfers Rs14.5b to Over 76,000 Mosque Imams
The provincial government has distributed Rs14.5 billion to prayer leaders under the CM Punjab honorarium card programme while registering over 76,000 mosques.
Rs14.5 billion has been distributed to prayer leaders in Punjab since January 2026.
The Punjab Home Department has registered over 76,000 mosques and is completing geotagging.
The provincial government has allocated over Rs20 billion annually for the initiative.
Imams must execute at least one banking transaction every three months to keep accounts active.
