Motorway Police issues licences for foreign holders in Punjab
Punjab Traffic Police says foreign licence holders may obtain a Pakistani licence after tests; Motorway Police issues it, and applicants can track status online with their CNIC.
Foreign driving licence holders may obtain a Pakistani driving licence in Punjab if they meet requirements and pass the prescribed tests, Punjab Traffic Police said.
Such licences are issued exclusively by the Motorway Police, and the process may be completed in a single day.
Applicants take the same prescribed driving tests as other candidates.
An online tracking facility on the Driving Licence Information Management System (DLIMS) lets applicants check status from home with their 13-digit CNIC.
After printing, the licence is dispatched and a Pakistan Post tracking number is provided for delivery.
