Under the Punjab Traffic Police position, holding a foreign driving licence does not remove the need for local testing. Candidates still go through the prescribed driving tests. Issuance for this route rests with the Motorway Police rather than ordinary traffic licensing counters alone.

To check status, open the official DLIMS tracking portal, enter the 13-digit CNIC without dashes, complete the security check (CAPTCHA), and select track licence. The system then shows the latest application status.
What printing and delivery messages mean
If the portal shows that a regular licence is in the printing queue, the card is waiting to be printed. After printing, the licence is dispatched to the applicant. A Pakistan Post tracking number is then provided so delivery can be followed on the postal service’s website.
