PECTAA rechecks Punjab nursery to Grade 5 books for mistakes
Punjab textbook errors flagged by education experts have sent nursery–Grade 5 books back for another check, with the Education Department saying the review should take one to two weeks.
PECTAA is reviewing new textbooks for nursery through Grade 5 after multiple errors were found.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the curriculum for up to Grade 5, due in the 2027–28 academic year.
Books were checked by education experts before printing; several mistakes led to a fresh review.
Publishers want books soon, noting private schools start on 1 January and warning of delays into March.
The Education Department says the review should wrap up in one to two weeks and books will be in the market before the new academic year.
