PWWF sends Rs2.16bn to industrial workers since August
On 30 October the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund moved Rs460.7 million into 1,331 industrial workers’ bank accounts, its largest single-day payout on record.
On 30 October, PWWF transferred Rs460,775,486 in welfare grants covering 1,331 cases.
The money went straight into registered industrial workers’ personal bank accounts.
From 1 August to 30 October 2026, PWWF paid over Rs2.165 billion across 10,246 grant cases.
Labour Minister Manshaullah Butt said direct transfers are meant to keep payments timely and transparent.
