Sherpao urges early end to KP governor's rule, emergency
Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Sherpao said in Charsadda that governor’s rule and emergency in KP must end so democracy and rights can return.
QWP chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao called for immediate withdrawal of governor’s rule and emergency so democracy and constitutional rights can be restored.
Speaking in Tangi tehsil, Charsadda, he said ending terrorism and restoring peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must come before political manoeuvring.
He called a proposed Rs160 billion Apex Committee allocation for KP insufficient and pressed for NFC dues, net hydel profit and gas royalty.
He criticised the PTI-led provincial government for focusing on protests for Imran Khan rather than public welfare over 13 years.
Provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, in Shabqadar, urged federal and provincial authorities to end uncertainty after decades of unrest.
