SBP makes SMEConnect mandatory for SME loans from Nov 1
The State Bank of Pakistan’s new digital portal will let small firms apply for bank and DFI credit in one place, track status live, and see rejection reasons from 1 November 2026.
The State Bank of Pakistan has launched SMEConnect, a centralised digital portal for SME financing from banks and DFIs.
From 1 November 2026, all SME finance applications must be submitted through SMEConnect.
Applicants can track applications in real time and see reasons if a request is rejected.
A live dashboard will show SBP application data by bank or DFI and across the industry.
Banks and DFIs must display the SMEConnect link on websites and apps and promote awareness.
