Parts of Karachi may see low gas pressure after SSGC work
Sui Southern Gas Company will halt supply from 10pm Saturday to 9am Sunday for work on a 24-inch Qatar mainline in Shershah, with possible low pressure in listed neighbourhoods.
SSGC will suspend gas in parts of Karachi for 11 hours from 10pm Saturday, 17 October, to 9am Sunday, 18 October.
The work covers maintenance on a 24-inch Qatar mainline in the Shershah area.
The outage is timed when domestic supply is already off; any overrun may cause low pressure.
Neighbourhoods in Baldi Town, Orangi Town and the Site Industrial Area are on the low-pressure watch list.
SSGC apologised to consumers for inconvenience during the maintenance.
